The ingredients needed to make MARINATED RIB-EYE STEAK:

  1. Prepare rib-eye steak (or any cut you prefer) 500g
  2. Get grated Ginger
  3. Get Honey
  4. Get minced garlic
  5. Get sesame oil
  6. Take apple cider vinegar
  7. Get soy sauce
  8. Get scallion optional

Prepare your grill, I highly suggest a charcoal grill. But, alternatively, you can use a gas grill or grill pan on the stove. Sear the steak on both sides until cooked to your liking. These grilled or broiled garlic rib-eye steaks are marinated in a mixture of garlic, soy sauce, and seasonings.

Instructions to make MARINATED RIB-EYE STEAK:

  1. Combine all the seasoning ingredients, except scallions and fried minced garlic, and marinate the steak in a Ziploc bag for at least 2 hours or best overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. If refrigerated, remove from the fridge about 30 minutes before air frying.
  3. Preheat air fryer for 400F (200C) for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Place the steak in the preheated air fryer and air fry at 400F (200C) for 6-8 minutes, flip once in the middle, until the desired doneness is reached.
  5. Let the steak rest for about 10 minutes before cutting. Sprinkle some fried minced garlic and scallions to serve if desired.

This marinade is excellent with rib steaks, as in this recipe, strips steaks, porterhouse or T-bone, or flank steaks. This is actually a really good marinade for rib eyes but DON'T use all that vinegar and follow the instructions on timing. Heat the oil over a high flame in a heavy-based frying pan that will comfortably fit both steaks. When the oil is shimmering, turn the heat down to medium-high and add the butter. Mix olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, Dijon mustard and garlic in a small bowl.
